Volume Two of the Frederick Wentworth, Captain series, "For You Alone ... "

"None But You ... ",  Volume One of the Frederick Wentworth, Captain series ends with Wentworth realising he has forever spoiled all hope of happiness with Anne Elliot, daughter of local gentry. Volume Two opens with his determination to go to his brother in Shropshire, and wait out the consequences of his foolish actions concerning another local girl, Miss Louisa Musgrove.

For six weeks he endures his brother's newly-married happiness and learns some deeper lessons about how damaging his own pride has always been.

When word comes from a friend that Miss Louisa has found truel love with another, Wentworth is determined that this thrid chance at love with Anne Elliot will not be wasted. Upon his arrival in Bath, he learns that other men have come to understand the worth of Anne and that the lay of the land is not so smooth as he hoped.

"For You Alone ... " is the retelling of Jane Austen's beloved Persuasion from Wentworth's point-of-view. In the original, Anne Elliot came to understand her family and her own heart better. "For You Alone ... " makes us privvy to Wentworth journey of love and self-understanding.
